"ThumpThumpThumpThumpThump, I'm not dead yet!" - Pudding

I've got some great news regarding Pudding. It's heart is beating strong!

I've found someone to work with to continue developing Pudding! He doesn't want to be revealed until he has contributed some more work, which knowing him won't take too long.

I'm currently adding a small feature that I feel a product like Pudding needs, and General Tomfoolery is plugging away at the new UI of Pudding.

I've got the spark again for the project. I'm really excited and I can't wait to start seeing my sketches come to life in code!

I'm own a graphic design & marketing firm and i really like how simple and to the point pudding is.
Your competitor, such as base camp and team work zone lack in this feature of your product excels in.

However your fee is a bit high (like a little little Bit) for the stand alone service you provide. However, I think the foundation of your product is great. YOU WILL GAIN MARKET SHARE.

Although you do not know me: my background is in and as marketing consultant, I recommend you:

1. Target small freelance and design firms. your product gives them the capabilities, appear as a larger firm.
2. Launch a tell a friend campaign. I understand you work a full time job (based on info on the blog) and your growing pudding. A great way to get the word out is a tell a friend campaign and for every friend that signs up the refer gets a discounted rate the for 1 year. You would have to do the math, however, at the end of the day designers recommend great products to other designers :). Post the tell friend campaign to different graphic design sites. I can think of lots of cost effective ways to get the word out.
3. At one point add a branding feature and charge more. People pay for these types of services.

Also, as a consumer, I suggest as your product grows, you add a project managements tool that is as simple as pudding :). The other really isn’t as simple as they market them.

You have a winner it's just going to take a little time to get it out.
If you ever would like to contact me directly. You can obtain my contact info at www.Uthinkitgraphics.com

p.s – after research products for the last 5 hours today and finding on that doesn’t exactly what I am look for , I hope my in put isn’t insulting in any way shape of form. It’s just that if I see a great product and have a marketing idea for it, I like to provide my input.

I take back my comment of pricing. I was only reading one part of the price list.(sorry about that ;( been doing research on products all day)

That being said :) your pricing is perfect and pudding is the right solution for smaller design firms. I still recommend you do a tell a friend program. They work with the right incentive.
Your product will grow!!!
And your vision is correct. Keep moving forward.

Hi Kathy,

Thanks for the tips.

I'm currently implementing the ability for a company to add their own logo to Pudding. (That's the "small feature" I referred to above.) I know designers look for that sort of thing!

I've got some more questions for you. I'll email you!
