Audience, Readers, Who Are You?

Hello,

Who are you, and why are you reading my blog? ;)

Honestly, I'm curious. Are you another developer? A designer? Why do you follow this blog? Do you like some types of posts over others? (Do your eyes roll when I'm whining about something, but focus in when I'm showing UI screens?)

I've gotten a lot out of this blog. It allows me to look back on what I've done during this startup journey, it's motivated me to continue the journey, and I've gotten some feedback about my product and ideas that I might not otherwise would have gotten.

So I'm curious. I know why I'm here. Why are you?

Sincerely,
-michael.

I'm a fellow MicroISV'er — the founder of Enspired Software. Although my MicroISV plans have been somewhat delayed for a while, eventually I'll be back on the bandwagon. I use Ruby on Rails and ASP.NET for my development, and do a few freelance projects on the side. My day job is at Obor Digital in Orlando, as the Dev Lead on our ASP.NET CMMS application.

I think I first read your blog when I was searching for other MicroISV'ers. Noting that you are also here in Florida I tool a keen interest in your experiences and your progress.

Wow, I was expecting a little more chatter on here. My XML feed has about 300 visitors a day. I wonder what the true readership numbers are of this blog.

I'm a 37 year old Mongolian sheep farmer with webbed feet.

Throughout my life, I have had two great passions: basket weaving and graphic design. I'm desperately in need of a solution to show my design comps and revolutionary basket designs to my clients across the globe.

Shawn, that's actually the only reason I post anything.

I'm another developer. I follow this blog because your story is somewhat similar to mine i.e. discovering Rails after being stuck in J2EE Hell! Also, I think you originally left a comment on my blog a few years ago, so I first came across your site that way.

I come by to see how are my ex-colleagues doing. Believe it or not, just by reading your blog, and comments :), keep me updated.

Also since I am working on the "client-side" code now, it gives me a feel of still being connected to the "web-side" :)
