Love the Windows

The CIO of the company I work for called me tonight (around 7ish) to have me send out an important email company wide. (A system was entering some unscheduled maintenance, and I had to get the word out.) I turned on my WONDERFUL Dell* computer, logged in, and was presented with this lovely message. (See below)

The best part about this BSOD is that the installation of Windows I'm running is about 3 weeks old.

Love the Windows

Can't wait until my MacBook Pro shows up. Maybe I'll start bringing it to work.

*I love this Dell laptop. I had to send it back to Dell because it would only power on 1 out of 5 times when I pressed the power button. Kind of like an old car. You got to keep turning the key until the engine finally catches. Oh, and Windows would lock up after 10 minutes of use when I had an ethernet cable plugged in to it. (Worked fine when using wireless.) Like I said above, Love the Windows.

Maybe the laptop hardware is dodgy, in which case it doesn't matter what OS it's running.

It turns out our system admins pushed out some update that "shouldn't effect to many people". :(

If you ever get stuck on a mass mail due to the BSOD, I'll be happy to log in on my Mac and take care of it for you. :)

Yes, I'm one of those smug Mac-using guys. Hmm... Smug Mac Using Guy? That's a somewhat recursive acronym...

Don't worry - you're joining the clan soon. Once you go Mac, you never go back.
